DR JAE SHIN

Dr Jae is the Principal Dentist of Victoria Point Family Dental. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Jae moved to Brisbane with his family in 2000. Graduating from Indooroopilly State High School, he completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland in 2011.
Since graduating, he spent 4 years working in a private practice in Rockhampton before moving back to Brisbane to be close to his family. He has been a supervisor/demonstrator at the University of Queensland Dental School since 2015, training the next generation of dentists, as a way of giving back to the profession and the community. During that time, he maintained a position at a private dental practice in Ipswich providing a broad range of treatment for the local patients before choosing to settle down in Victoria Point.
You will often hear him say; “If you were my aunty/uncle/cousin I would recommend…” when he talks about treatment options, because he genuinely believes that his recommendations would be the one that he would recommend if they were his own family.
He believes that he is there to guide every patient through their dental journey, and he will go above and beyond to help patients who are also motivated.
He is a member of Australian Dental Association, the Australian Prosthodontic Society and Australia Society of Endodontology and takes regular continuing education courses to ensure that his knowledge and skills are up to date. He has been on a volunteer trip to Cambodia with his wife Hazel to provide dental treatment to the underprivileged children and plans to return regularly!
