With the government and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee easing restrictions to Level 1, we are able to perform all dental procedures that we offer at Victoria Point Family Dental.
In addition to the strict infection control measures we have always had in place, we are:
Phoning our patients the day before their appointment to ensure they are symptom-free and meet the epidemiological criteria (eg they haven’t been in contact with someone suspected of COVID-19)
Getting all our patients to fill out a COVID-19 questionnaire and taking temperatures to ensure that we are guiding those at higher risk to COVID-19 testing centres rather than our practice.
Limiting your interpersonal contact by only allowing one patient or household in the practice at a time – we will be locking the door behind you and leaving a sign for patients to call us instead of entering the practice.
Leaving time between appointments to minimise interpersonal contact and to allow additional full wipe down of the practice including the reception area after each patient.
Donning our masks and safety glasses when we are unavoidably working within the 1.5 metre social distancing zone.
Placing a clear barrier in reception to help prevent direct aerosol transmission.
Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us, so we do understand if you still feel uncomfortable venturing out to see us, please do not feel pressured.
If you have any queries or dental problems please phone us on 07 3207 6650 to have a chat with Tahlia or myself! Even if we appear closed our phone will be redirected to myself.
Take care everyone and we look forward to seeing you fit and healthy when the pandemic is over!
