FISSURE SEALANTS
Fissure sealants are coatings of white or clear dental material that are painted on to the grooves (fissures) or chewing surfaces of teeth.
The sealant forms a protective layer that keeps food and plaque from getting stuck and protects the tooth from decay.
They are cheap and effective, and often no needles or drilling are needed at all.
